Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that affects the central nervous system. The immune system will attack the body’s nerves and cause communication problems between the brain and other parts of the body. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is located in New York City and was founded in 1946. It is a nonprofit organization that helps people with Multiple Sclerosis. There are various chapters across the country and they provide research and education and assist people with this disease and their families.
