“Don’t Dream It” is a song featured in The Rocky Horror Show musical and film, written and composed by Richard O’Brien in 1975. The “don’t dream it, be it” melody is sung near the end of the show after the character of Frank N. Furter expresses a desire to dress the way that Fay Wray did in King Kong. The Rocky Horror Picture show is a musical comedy horror. The stage play was first featured in 1973 and the film in 1975. The film and stage play have achieved a cult status amongst fans, famous for its midnight showings and audience participation.
