This button depicts the character "Fresh-Up" Freddie, an animated chicken used in ad campaigns for 7up starting in 1957. Freddie was created by the Leo Burnett ad agency, but the Walt Disney studio did the animation for TV commercials in which Freddie appeared. The character also was seen in comic books and on Disney's live-action TV show, and spawned merchandise such as plastic dolls and stuffed toys. The ad campaign that featured Freddie was discontinued after only a couple of years.

Freddie was voiced by Paul Frees, who also did such characters as Boris Badenov from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and the Burgermeister Meisterburger from the 1970 TV special Santa Claus is Coming to Town, as well as many other voices for Rankin-Bass animated specials in the 1960s and 1970s. Frees' voice also has been heard as the "Ghost Host" in the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland in Anaheim, California since the ride's opening in 1969.
