Dr. W. Douglas Skelton has had a storied career in the medical and psychiatrical fields since he received his doctorate in 1963. Among his achievements have been positions in the administrations of both President Jimmy Carter and President George H.W. Bush and eadership positions in the field of Medical Education. In 1993, Skelton succeeded in his run for the position of chair of the American Medical Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs.
