The Twilight Zone Movie, released in 1983, is an anthology science-fiction film produced by Steven Spielberg and John Landis As a theatrical version of the 1959–64 TV series The Twilight Zone, created by Rod Serling, the film remakes three classic episodes of the original series (Kick the Can, Its a Good Life and Nightmare at 20,000 Feet). It features one original story (Time Out).
Before the movie’s release, however, it received notoriety for a stunt helicopter crash which resulted in the death of 3 actors - famed Vic Morrow and two child actors. High-profile legal proceedings followed but the crash was deemed accidental and no one was found criminally responsible.
