Robert Plant is best known for his work as lead singer for Led Zeppelin. Rolling Stone named him the best lead singer of all time. He and Jimmy Page were the band's primary songwriters and worked collaboratively. He began his solo career in 1982, after drummer John Bonham's death and Led Zeppelin's subsequent breakup in 1980. He released nine solo albums from 1982 to 2010.
