Jolly Time Popcorn is the solitary brand of the American Pop Corn Company which was founded in 1914 by Cloid H. Smith. An entrepreneur, Smith used money from his business ventures to buy land in Iowa, the "Corn State", and farm popcorn. He then designed and built popcorn cribs to hold half a million pounds of popcorn, which revolutionized the way the product was stored. The company recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, and it is still owned and operated by the Smith family.
