July 5, 2004 marked Elvis Presley's Golden Anniversary in the music business and was celebrated even though he is deceased.  Fifty years prior, July 5, 1954 Elvis recorded his first song, "That's All Right" with guitarist Scotty Moore and Bill Black at Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee.  Memphis DJ Dewey Phillips was the first the play the song on the radio on July 8, 1954.  

A box set of CD's was released to commemorate the 50th anniversary.  American Singer and Actor, Elvis Aaron Presley (aka Elvis) was born January 8, 1935 and died August 16, 1977 due to a drug overdose.  Elvis was often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" and is viewed as a musical icon.
