Additional Information

The famous picture seen here by photographer Arther Sasse shows Albert Einstein on his 72nd birthday in 1951, sticking his tongue out. It depicts the physicist in a lighthearted manner and became one of Einstein’s personal favorites.

Einstein developed his special theory of relativity based on his research into the connections between space and time. His theories around relatively and space/time challenged scientists and "common sense". In response, Einstein pointed out that common sense was nothing more than a bunch of prejudices laid down in our minds prior to the age of eighteen. He also went on to say that common sense needs constant reappraisal.
