Cruver Manufacuting Company was a celluloid-based manufacturer founded in 1902 responsible for inventing novelty items and various patents. It is best known for developing decorated compacts, medallions, and advertising pins. Additionally, Cruver Manu. Co. was involved with the United States Military in developing celluloid sextants during World War 2, and designed other measurement tools that were both compact and functional.
This button was designed with the condensed quality of Cruver compacts and combined with the measurement qualities the company is also known for. This item is similar to the Will & Baumer Candle Co. advertising 23 year calendar and mirror, but advertises Cruver modern novelty items. The dates of this button span from 1923-1946.
