Additional Information

The CBC Stamp Club was started by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to engage young radio listeners in the 1950s. Stamp collecting was very popular at the time. To become a member, children sent in a letter with ten cents. They would receive this button, 50 different stamps, and a copy of the book CBC Stamp Club: How to Start a Stamp Collection by Douglas Patrick. CBC, established in 1936, is the oldest existing broadcast corporation in Canada.
